Learning Objectives
Learning objectives tell what will be given (Given a periodic table...), what is expected (...be able to name the first 20 elements...), and how the performance will be evaluated (...correctly). (The expected performance may be implied.) Learning objectives must be measurable. These are intended to be useful for the student. They may used as a study guide in preparation for taking a test. The instructor may also present each one in class on a computer projector before covering the topic.
Laboratory Handouts
Goals of the laboratory program:
- Acquaint the student with standard laboratory techniques.
- Illustrate the principles taught in the lecture.
